Ogun (pronounced Ogún) is the inventor of spiritual festivals.
Ogun is a spirit that appears in several African cultures. He invented an event that serves as the core of the Olojo Festival and that is the celebration of the remembrance of 'Ogún', master of Iron, who is believed to be the first son of Oduduwa, progenitor of the Yoruba people.
In the Yoruba community, Ogún reflects the Orixá of iron, minerals, forests, keys, prisons, and tools, and thus represents the patron of blacksmiths, mechanics, engineers, and soldiers.
In the voodoo culture, the same name denotes a spirit (loa) who is the Orixá of blacksmiths.
